3D Modeling Club

3D modeling is a useful skill to learn if you are interested in having your creations printed in 3D, designing video games, animating and so much more. It is just as much a creative art skill as a technology one! In this nanodegree, students learned what 3D Modeling and 3D Printing are used for, and how to use Tinkercad (a web-based program for 3D modeling) to create 3-Dimensional designs.

Club Experience

About the Club Teacher

Hi there! I am a progressive educator who finds value in all types of learning and specializes in supporting learners with non-traditional interests. I love getting learners excited about a wide variety of subjects, including coding and 3D modeling, animal science and behavior, optical illusions, oragami, culinary arts, and more. I believe the key to inspiring a love of learning is to make learning fun, exploratory, and creative. Once I can help spark a passion or curiosity in a child through a fun and engaging experience, they tend to take that passion and run with it! One of my favorite education quotes is: “There isn’t a right way to become educated; there are as many ways as there are fingerprints.” -John Taylor Gatto

I have a B.S. in Child Learning and Development and am the founder of a homeschool learning center in Texas. I also have experience in private progressive schools and spend time organizing a semi-annual progressive education conference.

My hobbies and passions include training and volunteering with my Therapy Dog, volunteering at the local rescue, soccer, rock climbing, disc golf, reading, cooking, traveling, and playing board/card games.
